I have heard about Apologue coffee from multiple social media recommendations but never had the opportunity to try it until now. I went for a morning coffee run and ordered the Grapefruit Calamansi Zestpresso. Their espresso pull was amazing and very well extracted as I could taste the notes of the beans they were using. This drink was their most expensive at 210 pesos but you get your money’s worth and I have been to cafes with terrible quality espresso that would charge more. Kudos to Apologue for their good coffee, I’ll definitely be back.
An incredible variety of flavors, blending the best of different cultures! The coffee, tres leches, and horchata are absolutely unique and delicious. On top of that, the staff is super friendly. If I could, I’d give them 10 stars!
Great coffee, delicious food! The place is very cozy and interior is really cool. Staff are very friendly too. For food, they offer desserts, pasta and sandwiches. This place is a must-try when you're in Binondo.
Had a great experience at this cozy cafe, especially enjoying their Black Sesame Oat, a perfect option for lactose-intolerant people. This drink is smooth and has the right amount sweetness, making it a must-try. While prices are a tad bit on the pricey side (for me), the quality of both the drinks and service made it definitely worth the visit.
This cafe was a hidden gem, while we were waiting in line at Wai Ying, we walked around that area and found this place and since it was a hot day that day we went inside and ordered some of their iced drinks and went back outside to eat. After our meal at Wai Ying we went back to this cafe to try their cake (I forgot what it's called).
The place is spacious and very aesthetic, with wooden furniture and counters that give it a warm, cozy vibe. I also loved the photographs on the walls featuring scenes taken around Manila, which add a nice local touch. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I think the place is generally quiet and perfect for conversations with friends. However, when we visited, there was one group that was a bit loud. I’m not sure if the high, spacious ceiling contributed to it, but their voices echoed and made the space sound a bit noisier than usual. We ordered the Binondo Latte (Ube), Black Sesame Oat Latte, and Cheese Tarts (Ube and Tablea flavors). The Binondo Latte wasn’t overly sweet, and you can really taste the ube. The coffee complements it nicely instead of overpowering it. It’s definitely the best ube coffee I’ve had so far. The Black Sesame Oat Latte was also great; the nuttiness of the sesame blends perfectly with the coffee. It’s not too sweet either, which made me love it even more.
Dropped by Apologue Coffee in Binondo and loved everything about it! We tried the Peanut Cake Latte and Matcha Latte, and both were so good — unique flavors, smooth blends, and just the right sweetness. The ambiance was lovely too — warm, modern, and quiet enough to enjoy a good chat or just relax. It’s definitely one of those cafés you’d want to stay in for hours. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — great drinks, cozy vibe, and a spot that makes Binondo even more charming.
Apologue is my go to cafe in the area! I’m a fan of their iced americano and tiramisu. Also tried their peanut sesame cookie (not sure of the exact name) but it’s also good, best paired with coffee!! There’s also sockets and wifi, so you can work here. Gets pretty crowded tho on a weekend.
